IEM -- 2008 Presidential Election Markets Quotes
An example of a decision market which predict/decide among already defined choices. James Surowiecki in his best selling book "The Wisdom of Crowds" says that the three conditions - diversity, independence, and decentralization - have to be met in order for the collective intelligence of the market to be smart.

As at CST 04:45, Jan 3, 2008, the market (IEM) reads Clinton 60.2%, Obama 28.2%, and Edwards 8.5%. This appears to be quite different from what various media report that they are more or less tied.
